Flory, a young night fairy, is out flying one night when a bat mistakes her wigs for that of a Luna Moth. He bites off her wings, and she must live from that day forward on the ground, not in the air. As she adapts slowly to not flying, she goes through many frightening incidents, until the story resolves in a magnificent ending.
I loved this book because the writing was beautiful, and so were the wonderful pictures - I connected with the characters. I highly recommend The Night Fairy to all readers.
