Picture Books
We can't resist! Though this blog is primarily for chapter books that independent readers would enjoy (or younger kids might like having read to them), we do have some much-loved picture books that we'd love to share. Most of these are a little quirky, with humor and great illustrations that make us want to read them over and over (we only included the name of the author here for simplicity, not the illustrator as well - unless it was a specific version, though more than a few of these books are literally works of art)... many were first discovered in the treasure trove of our local library stacks. This is by no means a complete list!
